Benharim is a small family hotel located in Gideona.  The village was named after Gideon, the biblical judge, and was settled in the 1950’s by Yemenite immigrants.  Benharim is a short walk from Gideon's Cave and Harod Spring Nature Reserve, and a challenging walk to the top of Mt. Gilboa with its spectacular view of the Jezreel Valley.

Ever since biblical times this area, on the foothills of Mt. Gilboa, has been a strategic location in times of war. Here Gideon gathered his men before fighting the Midianites and administered the 'water test' as a way of choosing the warriors for the coming battle.

Today Harod Spring is a nature reserve with the second largest pool in Israel, a picnic area, and great looming eucalyptus trees.

Benharim is a ten minute drive from Gan Hashlosha National Park where the waters are 28 degrees centigrade all year-round. Benharim is also a short drive to Beit Shean National Park the ancient Roman city of Beit Shean which houses some of Israel’s most spectacular  archaeological finds. It is a half-hour drive to Nazareth in one direction, and in the other direction a half hour to the Sea of Galillee (Lake Kinneret)
